1. You have to spend the night..... MYTH....you do not have to spend the night, but it sure is fun!!!
2. Relay for life is an running relay with a baton....MYTH...it IS a race for a CURE...but Relay is a team walking event!!!
3. Cancer never sleeps.....FACT...cancer never sleeps, and if we can give up one night of sleep to help find a cure, it is very worth it!!! But remember...see #1...
4. Relay is only for Cancer survivors....MYTH...Relay for Life is an event that brings families, friends, students and volunteers together in the crusade to find a cure for cancer. Survivors are celebrated and honored, while loved ones lost are remembered and cherished.
5. Relay is a total community event....FACT....Relay is for all ages, all genders....everyone is invited & you do NOT have to be on a team to attend!
6. Relay if a full year commitment.....MYTH....Relay is whatever you want to put into it. You can work on Relay for as little as a week, or for a year....that is totally up to YOU.
