Ken Ayles and his lovely wife, Jen were wonderful Honorary Chairs of last year's Relay.  They found a place in everyone's heart!  I know Jen will be out of town, but Ken will be at kick-off to "pass the torch" to our Honorary Chair for 2010.....Be sure and come to kick-off on February 4th to learn who our new Honorary Chair will be....Can't wait to see you there.  Let's get Ready to Relay!!!

Team.....what makes up a team?  It can be made up of so many people from your life....your friends, your parents, your children, your grandparents....Think outside your usual group...maybe you have a new friend that would like to get involved in Relay....just ask!  It never hurts to ask....And remember, 8 to form a team, and a maximum of 15.  Have more than 15?  Form two teams and you will have twice as much space and twice as much fun at Relay!!!  So....get busy and get your team formed and signed up!  A wonderful way to be together for a wonderful cause.....

Here is a GREAT web site to help you personalize your page.  You can only have pictures of a certain size on your page, and this site makes it a snap.  The address is:

www.shrinkpictures.com

Be sure and check 350 Pixels, Better Quality....then choose your picture and resize it.  Then download to your computer and you are good to go to import to your site.  Need a good picture of Relay that you would like to use?  Send me an email....relayforlifeofnewtown@gmail.com  Put my name, Laura in the subject and let me know you want a picture.  I would be happy to send you one!  Let's get ready to RELAY!!!

First things first....come to Kick-Off....there will be a lot of information for Team Captains.  And...check this blog ALL the time!  As we near Kick-Off I will be posting information about how to keep your team organized and "on the same page". 

Here is my first tip.....select team members that you know share the same vision and ideas as you do for Relay and how involved you want everyone to be.

Come to the meeting, gather info and get ready to Relay.  Starting February 4...I will post a Fund Raising Idea a day until two weeks before Relay....
